Saturday Night Specials are
designed and recommended for rules-limited oval track racing
and for ET-Bracket drag racing applications. These cams are
designed for engines with moderate to high compression ratios.
Saturday

| Crane Blueprinted
cams are exact duplicates of the most popular original equipment
muscle car cams from the 60's and 70's. Crane Blueprinted cams
feature lobe profiles that have been computer "smoothed"
for increased valve train life and added performance. Great
for restoration engine projects or for those who wish to re-live
the muscle car excitement of days past. |

Cams Dual valve springs are available for hydraulic, mechanical
(“flat tappet”) and roller lifter camshafts, for
street performance and all-out competition. Various designs
are offered including dual, dual with flat dampers, different
O.D. dimensions, with varying seat pressures and closed heights.
Crane Dual valve springs are selectively magnaflux
inspected and checked for tension. Many “hard-core”
springs are individually magnaflux inspected, tension matched
and placed in sets.

Many Crane Triple Valve Spring
outer springs are made from premium quality, H-11 Tool Steel.
H-11 is an excellent valve spring alloy, providing superior
tension and outstanding durability for racing applications.
Each Crane Triple Spring set
is carefully inspected, magnafluxed, and matched within 10
lbs. of tension.
Your
home spring tension checker might not be correctly calibrated
for precise tension measurement. Crane offers a precision
Calibration Spring (part number 99851-1). We recommend that
you obtain one of these and calibrate your spring checker
for accurate spring tension checking.
