To say we were overwhelmed at our 10th anniversary party last weekend (July 28/29) would be an understatement. Over 150 hot rods, customs, classics and late-model American cars descended on our premises during Saturday afternoon. It was great to see such a fabulous line-up of vehicles and the whole place was buzzing. We converted our warehouse to a retail area and put on a free hog roast for the 300 or so visitors who attended. Thanks go to everyone who came, to the NSRA for including us in their weekend's activities and to all of our customers for their continued support. For those who couldn't attend, below is a brief collection of photos from the event.

More Changes at American Racing
American Racing Equipment Inc has recently announced its acquisition of Weld Wheel Industries Inc, a market leader in forged wheel technologies and a familiar name in both the street rodding and drag racing arenas. Weld is highly regarded for its expertise in the manufacture of high-performance forgings. This technology results in wheels that are significantly lighter and stronger than equivalent cast versions.
The family of brands under the ARE banner now includes Motegi Racing, Boyd Coddington, TIS, Dropstars, RO_JA and Weld, the latest acquisition providing further depth to ARE’s already impressive range of products for both road and track.
Further ARE news includes a joint venture with JR Motorsports® of North Carolina, to design, develop and market a Dale Earnhardt Jr.® line of upscale, aftermarket performance automotive wheels. Scheduled for release in early 2007, the new range will feature performance wheels for trucks, sport utility vehicles, late-model muscle cars and performance passenger cars.
New American Racing T-shirts available now
The latest T-shirt designs from American Racing are now availble from USAutomotive.
These include Classic car designs featuring the 1956 Chevrolet (which like the Torq-Thrust wheel is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2006) and Carroll Shelby's famed Cobra.
There is "traditional" artwork which includes the famous "Surf Woodie" in a new Polynesian location and a range of "Ringer" designs including a 1932 Ford and new take on the Torq-Thrust Logo.
